Xiaomi App Store Downloads Slow

Hi, I recently put MIUI v5 (4.4.4) on my Nexus 7 II (Android 4.4.2) (Wifi version).

Liking it so far, but he Xiaomi app store has been giving me problems. I am obviously downloading via WiFi, and websites and Gplay download just fine.

But the Xiaomi app store downloads at 1kbps - 20kbps, and anything over 50mbs fails before it downloads.

It's not a big reason why I got MIUI, otherwise I would have just downloaded the app itself, but I would like to get it working, to grab some of those apps not on Gplay.

I live in the United States, if that matters for any reason.

Whatever the issue was (probably overloaded serves being really far away?) it seems to have fixed itself, the Xiaomi app store downloads at roughly the same speed at Google Play does now.
