An issue of the camera..

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7
48MP + 5MP ???

XIAOMI GIVES INCORRECT MISLEADING CLAIMS.
(i own the one..)

APP - "Device Info HW"
Camera 0-Back: 12.0 MP
Resolution: - 4000x3000
Camera 1-Front: 13.2 MP
Resolution: 4224x3136

APP - "CPU X"
Rear Camera: 12.11MP + 5MP
Front Camera: 13.36MP

APP - "DevCheck"
Main camera: 12.1MP f/1.8 (4016x3016)
Front camera: 13.4MP f/2.0

APP - "Device Info"
12.0MP - Back (4000x3000)
13.2MP - Front (4224x3136

APP - "System Information"
Front - 13.2MP
Rear - 12MP

That's incorrect. The redmi note 7 has a 48MP s5kgm1sensor. The stock camera app can use these. The others use pixel binning 12mp (standard resolution and mode). 4 pixels are merged to one in this scenario. So the only misleading thing is your knowledge about the phone ;)

I admit my knowledge about phones is limited (i'm only former admin /with stroke/).
But, if 5 app tells something else..

"The others use pixel binning 12mp (standard resolution and mode). 4 pixels are merged to one in this scenario."

Xiaomi works as if there is 12mp !
Period.
Friend of mine, has Samsung (24mp /several of them/), far better pics.
SHARPNESS counts, not numbers mp.

Commercial should be these Xiaomi:
" Note 7, Redmi, Stock camera"
Marketing..

Other than, my Xiaomi perfectly.

No, it shouldn't. This behavior have all big mp cameras in phones in common. They use pixel binning and that's also often advertised. Also probably the Samsung isn't an entry level model like the redmi. Price is still important at least for cameras.
