I had the same problem. Connect to an unencrypted wifi network.

Flash tomorrow stable 10.1 on Redmi 5 Plus on stable 9.5 and so far so good. Without full wipe work fine. Face unlock its a cool feature portret mode in front facing camera too. So I recommended this update
