not sure about the pro thin, i have the XiaomiRedmi 14C 5G bought in sweden.
Anyway this is my experience the past hour trying to unlock:
started with: "usb_driver_r13-windows.zip"
then: "miflash_unlock_en_7.6.727.43.zip"
then popup in the app said to login to xiomi account, i did. got this after sms verification: {"R":"","S";"OK"} pipe transfer failed dalogue popup
restarted app.
now i can press unlock, verfify yes, again verify yes. it did the 0-100% verifying device: coudlnt verity device. pls add account in settings mi unlock status.
(on the phonemi unlock status: step bellow 4 text i press the button and get "preparing to add account and device... coudlnt add please go to mi community to apply for..."
Step 4 has an URL, i enter it on my pc and:
unlock.update.miui.com takes me to https://unlock.update.miui.com/ which gives me this gibberish:
