Oh such a kind greeting ^^, good morning sir. Ive just arrived at work and start coding some sMIUI improvements regarding Unicode Striper, Volume Contorl Steps and Root in 1 second.

I dont remember exactly but I think Ive added a check to only use the script with "aries" phone ( Mi2/s).
Your Error Message should tell you that.

If you want to use the Zip File with any other phone you should remove that first line in updater script ;)

When i recorder a file audio or a video, the back microphone don't work. I have a mi2 with italian language, i do a clear installation and i followed the guide. I have see that: the first one, when i turn on my smartphone, it's all ok but the second one, and the next, when i try to record it does not work. the sounds aren't fluid and clear. please fix it.

For me, building websites (going live today).. and trying to find a simple solution for tweaking sound on BT devices...
V4A is all I can think of... Might be worth to give it a try.
 
From 4.12.5 I have many problems with games.
Almost with jetpack joyride... It starts, I play ONE game and on second game, it crashs... Always... Always on the second game.
I have this problem but with random crashes, also with road trip2, pocket mine and punch quest

Hello i have installed sMiui from several build but only now i see that the wifi tethering doesn't work. I can activate the function and other device like mi tablet recognize and connect to my phone but there is no internet connection. I also tried with the phone of my girlfriend Mi2A (with last Miui on android 4.1) that has my same phone provider and it works ok so i think it is my phone that doesn't work.

Let me know what can be the problem. Thanks
 
I want to thanks sebsch1991 for this Great Rom! I am using it and i find it very good!
I Have noticed that SMS font size is too big, how is iti possible to reduce it?
When i open a message from facebook messenger from notification bar, i see only the wallpaper. this happened also with the Mokee Rom

Could you please upload a file with that poor quality ? I cannot confirm your problem. Mic is working fine for me in Recorder and Camera App.

As of your Post I actually tested wifi tethering on latest sMIUI and it worked just fine.
Try full Wipe and clean install your phone.
sMIUI is also available for Mi2A .. Maybe you try if you got the problem on your girlfriends phone on sMIUI.

Thanks for your kind words, Ive put loads of work into it.
There were other users talking about that in this threat... They fixed it by changing the Density in build.prop.
Search for "dpi" in this threat and you might find your answer.

I'm suffering more than before the "dead touch" issue.
It's curious because it only appears on this ROM, in CM based and LP the touch panel works great.
Am I the only one?

Thank you but I'm experiencing many difficulties using 2g on your ROM..is difficult to connect to the internet if you are not on 3g network, a problem which I never had on other roms.. Did you ever noticed that?
 
My problem with the music app is that, some audio file's tag info(title, artist, album) can not be loaded and displayed. These audio files show up in music app in their file name, and can't be sorted by artist or album.

But these files are all good in the music app in 4.12.5, and it has no problem with n7player in 4.12.12. So i think, the change, that the official MIUI have made in last week, messed the music app up.

I am kind of disappointed by the official MIUI team, as they always doing some meaningless changes, such as the blur or black notification shade thing: http://en.miui.com/thread-70326-1-1.html

I totally agree, if they really change the background to black instead of transculent I'll see if I can backport it for future releases.
Lets see what really happens..

I have tried to install again the last sMiui with partition and data reset and also cahche and dalv cache reset but i have still problem with hot spot wifi tethering. the client connect ok with the phone and i have good signal but whe i try to connect to internet it doesn't work. i notice a new thing on notification area of the phone i see 0 (zero) client connected.

yes, I do. Wipe cache, devilcache and data factory reset. And i had try to install the wiui v6 on the second system and the problem is tha same. At the first one record it's all ok, but when i try to make other records i can't hear the voice. Can you try with the italian language if have you this problem?

Not sure if I missed it, but YOU changing to English for testing... Have you tried?

Your problem is actually not ROM related.
Two options for you:
1. Do Backup and completely reinstall your phone with fastboot (select package WIPE ALL - even /sdcard)
2. Check your phone for dirt or dust inside or other physical things that could be the issue for your problem.

If all that doesnt work you probably got a broken rear mic ...
There is nothing I could tell you more, sorry.

BTW, is it possible to make the music toggle in notification shadow to work with other music app?
 
Hello everyone! I have a couple of questions about this rom but first let me say it's awesome that with this rom I get +2h30 of screen time on a 2000mAh battery with more than half of that time playing games.

The two questions I have are about the RILJ wakelock that has insane numbers and my viber that doesn't notify me. Is there any solution for this? Thanks

Sorry I cant give you any viber support. If you dont get any notifications from any App you should check it in Settings -> Notifications .. and set correct permissions.

And then because if I try to install the v5 all works? And why when I make the first recording with the v6 does it work?

Miui v5 (original) = all ok, the back microphone work.

Smiui V6= the back microphone don't work, it work only the first recording after i turn on my smartphone. For subsequent recordings it does not work.
