Stable to Weekly = You have to format the data partition of your device. Please believe me, but I read the instructions and did not understand.
I was looking for something unambiguous that would tell me what to do and each thread gave a different answer.
I am with MI 11 PRO, xiaom.eu rom 12.512
What do you need to do to move from stable to weekly?
Is it possible to just burn, and do a dirty installation?
And how is the root related?
I would love clear instructions, I tried to understand and just got confused
Can you read also the second post? Can I download it also for the mi 11 pro?
Same issue for me on cas. Hadn't seen anyone else post about this so I thought it was just me. These issues also started for me a few months back. Have formatted data and still have these random screen freezes and unresponsive home/back/recent apps buttons. Hoping it will be fixed with each weekly but the issue has persisted.I've been experiencing random 'System UI' freezes since 2-3 months ago, I'm not complaining as I'm completely aware that these releases are in a beta version and being tested so most likely it's normal/expected; just wanted to know if I'm the only one or you guys are also having these kind of issues.
My device: MI 9T
Have you tried tidying up all data, and then a Factory reset? If a Factory reset is done from within TWRP, you will not lose your files.Same issue for me on cas. Yes, done data format yesterday within twrp. Set up my phone from scratch and issue has persisted. I often have to press home button repeatedly before it registers, or if screen freezes I have to lock and unlock the phone again to fix it. It's really frustrating.Have you tried tidying up all data, and then a Factory reset? If a Factory reset is done from within TWRP, you will not lose your files.
A Factory reset is not the same as a data format.Yes, done data format yesterday within twrp. Set up my phone from scratch and issue has persisted. … describe the issue in detail eg logcat, phone modell or rom version…Thanks but there is a.misunderstanding. All I want to know before installing this version is if the problem with the email app has been fixed. I am not saying I have the problem myself
Me too MI9, have the same problem, battery drain too fastTerrible battery life with this rom! (Mi9)
Less than 8h with only 2:07h display time and now at 6%...

I had same problem on Poco F2 Pro with Nova Launcher installed with this weekly. This fixed it for me. Thread 'Magisk MIUI Home' https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/magisk-miui-home.63209/Here I have a problem that recent items don't have the option to split the screen into two apps. Does anyone know another way to split the screen?

Did you download that file from the drive and install it via magisk? And did it solve the problem of shortcuts for recent recent items?I had same problem on Poco F2 Pro with Nova Launcher installed with this weekly. This fixed it for me. I got the file via Telegram from the guy who provided the fix. But files here on the link are the same. It is an older version of system launcher, which did not have the problem.Did you download that file from the drive and install it via magisk? Everything OK. Had two SIM cards in the device. For one, the contract was terminated and the network is no longer connected. This card was always looking for a connection and used a lot of battery.Overnight 15% loss of the battery in the Poco F3
Will give it a bash an see how we get on.A Factory reset is not the same as a data format.
Understand. It's via twrp, I thought it was via magisk. Thanks.I got the file via Telegram from the guy who provided the fix. But files here on the link are the same. It is an older version of system launcher, which did not have the problem.
After flashing it from TWRP I had short cuts in recent apps again for split screen, pop up window, app settings

Even this forum has some form of censorship...some words aren't allowed. Example g.c.a.m, aliex...ssQuestion:
Recently there was a research that showed xiaomi probably sensors keywords (in China only, but can be activated on other countries too?) and does a few other stuff.
Lithuanian government warns about secret censorship features in Xiaomi phones
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry published a security audit on Wednesday for three popular 5G smartphone models manufactured in China, recommending that citizens avoid or stop using at least two of the three devices, citing privacy infringements and secret censorship capabilities.therecord.mediaAre we "safe" from censorship, since the beta rom is based on the chinese beta? Could that censorship module somehow be removed from the weekly rom, if it comes with it?The most were found in the Xiaomi Mi 10T, where officials said they uncovered a secret censorship module that could detect and censor 449 keywords or groups of keywords in both Chinese and Latin characters related to sensitive topics inside China, such as “Free Tibet,” “Voice of America,” “Democratic Movement,” “Longing Taiwan Independence,” and others.
Officials said this module was disabled inside Lithuania and the EU region, but they also found a function that could have allowed Xiaomi to silently enable the censorship module at any given time without the user’s knowledge.
In addition, officials said they also found a second issue impacting Xiaomi phones, which also sent an encrypted SMS message to Xiaomi servers whenever the owner chose to use the Xiaomi Cloud service.
“Investigators were unable to read the contents of this encrypted message, so we can’t tell you what information the device sent,” Dr. Tautvydas Bakšys, one of the report’s authors, said on Wednesday.
After the SMS was sent, the message was also hidden from the device owner, another action which Lithuanian authorities saw as a sign of alarm.
Furthermore, officials said they also found that the Xiaomi phone also collected up to 61 data points about the device and its owner via the Mi Browser app, information it sent to a Google Analytics account and to Chinese servers.
Xiaomi did not return a request for comment sent by The Record seeking answers to the Lithuanian government’s report.
I get it that almost every country tries to limit China's (probably) growing power, but wouldn't it be better if this rom doesn't have such? It already comes debloated from various staff (of which some may even be suspicious). So, now that this got into attention wouldn't it be preferrable if it was removed (if it isn't removed already)?Even this forum has some form of censorship...some words aren't allowed. And that's the way it is in almost every aspect of life... there's some level of censorship. That's Nothing new.
Maybe you should stop being someone's tool for political vendetta?
I think it's just unnecessary panic especially with the article making rounds on the internet but I'm sure it will all quiet down soon enough... just like when johnWu announced the removal of magiskHideI get it that almost every country tries to limit China's (probably) growing power, but wouldn't it be better if this rom doesn't have such? (I ~don't like Google's controlling tactics as well and I ~don't even use any FB service, it ~doesn't mean I try to defame the US.) Accepting censorship doesn't seem like a good idea.
Edit: Did the article's suggestion to throw away xiaomi phones trigger you? Yeah, overreaction, by that logic we should own ~no phones.
Actually it did. It was just too outrageous!Did the article's suggestion to throw away xiaomi phones trigger you? Yeah, overreaction, by that logic we shoul
