For you the MiRecovery is better choice because you are not sure you will keep the MIUIv6-5.0 with merged partitions. For me the MiFlash is better choice because I know I want to keep merged partitions forever.No. MiRecovery or Miflash?
You resize the partitions?Sorry bad english.Thanks.

Once you get merged partitions using MiFlash then you cannot go back to MIUI6-KK or MIUIv5 easily!
So, first try it and if you decided to keep it you can still use MiFlash and get merged partitions IMO.
The merged partitions is only advantage for users who suffering from small data partitions.

Thank you very much. All of them are good Rom?(5.0. Back 4.4) ?Anyway you can find attached the modified flash_all.bat file (just in case) if someone want to get back the original (not merged) partitions on Mi2/S. You just have to change the original flash_all.bat file to the modified flash_all.bat file (attached) in the ROM fastboot package and flash the ROM with MiFlash using fastboot script flash_all.bat.
It would be great to have Romanian language in .eu releases.@ingbrzy
Here https://github.com/ygorigor/Romanian_MIUI_V6 I have translated xmls to romanian language.
If you want, you can use it in your weakly ROM releases.
thanks, does it also backup videos, music, notes, pics, calendar, ...?

I don't understand why such a simple question haven't been answered but let me help you out: Yes, you can still restore from your built-in backup after the wipe. The wipe formats your /data partition, but your internal sd card, where the backup will be located, will remain intact. I hope this helped other ppl as well.I asked this question several times and still got no clear answer. Hope to get a clear answer for a newbie this time ;-)
I read the following before install from my v6 special edition 5.3.27 to the latest lollipop version:
For first installation of Mi2S v6 Android 5.0
- You have to be on latest 4.12.5 MIUIv5 or 5.3.27 MIUIv6 Special Edition
- Then install our multilang via Updater app like usually
- Wipe all user data in recovery or via settings highly recommended!
When I wipe all user data (so all my personal info and all apps are gone), is it possible to restore my personal info (accounts) and all apps with the restore option within Miui ?
Before install I will backup everything with the build in option within Miui, but am I able to restore all these info and apps after the install to v6 5.0?
I have a lot of apps installed and several accounts and I wish to update to v6 5.0 but not to install all the apps again and create all my accounts again.
