if you are stuck focus at short range, please hit the phone on the desk, screen DOWN to the desk. like you want to break the screen. Hit the edge of the screen. It helps if you have a phone case to protect the phone.

LENS DIRECTION:

Lens move OUT(to outside of phone): macro focus
Lens move IN(into the phone, bury inside): FAR focus

so, if it is stuck on far focus, drop the phone on its back

if it is stuck at macro focus, drop the phone on its screen

This fixed my problem

i cant believe this. i made this Account just to thank you, hahaha. I thought it wuold be irreparable but this acutally worked!
i just hit the corner of the phone on the table a few times, upper left corner from the back, where the camera is, and it actually worked. This bothered me for so long now and the 100th time i google this problem this Thread pops up. Thank you very much!

BEFORE YOU SMACK YOUR PHONE ON THE TABLE: try to tap on the camera with your finger. for me this works more reliably than hitting it on the desk, and I dont have to be scared of breaking it

OMG!! I made account just to thank you.
I recently broke my camera lens(glass) and i thought that i broke my camera. I was on my way to spend 100€ for camera replacment but i saw this post and it works!
