[rom][cm12.1] Last Hope Rom - Best Rom Ever? ;)

So for my understanding and maybe for others, is this the correct procedure when coming from M1cha's rom?

1. Backup all the phones data on PC
2. Install latest MIUI via fastboot, following this guide: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html using flash_all script
3. Install TWRP Recovery, following this guide: http://en.miui.com/thread-190608-1-1.html (Procedure 2)
4. Install Bugers ROM via TWRP Recovery ( http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/rom-cm12-1-last-hope-rom-public-rc3-20160109.29188/ )
5. Install GApps ( http://opengapps.org/ )

Thanks
After #3 i wiped data, cache and dalvik, without wipe i wasn't able to proceed

Hi, what are the difference between aries_core_unified_single and aries_core_unified_single_XIAOMI??? I know this last layout is in miui but what are the differeces in partition sizes?

Not much, but partition numbering differs.

Search this thread. Both layouts are documented here.

Last multi here. May I flash this rom via twrp or stock recovery and updater work too?

You already have new partition layout, don't worry!

It' s what I thought......thanks
So just wipe cache dalvik and data via twrp then flash it? Stock recovery or updater doesn't work?

Install it via TWRP. Updater app and stock MiRecovery methods do not work
Do not forget to wipe data, dalvik, and cache.

For us laymen, what is the difference of having firmware packed in block file image and having it stored some other way? The linked post does not provide any info.
Just curious.

no system.new.dat in zip archive anymore, just system folder and boot.img, no needs to resize partition or reboot recovery after flashing
furthermore its more convinient to drag some system apps/files if you are remove/change some of them

Hi Bugers
THX for your hard work your Rom works pretty good on my mi2
Just a question i upgradet from your rc1 to your rc3. Within rc1 you included a modified kernel with undervolting and some more features but in rc3 it looks like the basic one.

Yes, many things gets removed but I may consider to pick them again.

Let's do a little survey:
Guys, what feature of previous kernel you miss the most?
