Hello guys

I am using xiaomi Mi-One for the last 4 weeks and I am very happy with the purchase :)

The only issue i am facing is the less than usual battery life. It is not stellar as mots of you here find it to be. Infact, my motorola atrix 2 used earlier to this had better battery life than the Mi-One. This makes me think, it could be a one-off hardware issue and may be it can get better with time. But, i tried re-calibrating the battery, charge-discharge cycles etc, but nothing seems to work im improving the battery life.

Now, i decided i shall change the battery itself and may be it will result in a better life of the battery.

ANy idea where I can find a Genuine Battery for this phone ? I have ordered one from trait-tech.com, but looks like it is a high imitation item . Any help in identifying the right or battry for this phone & oredering it online ? Any hellpp in this regard will hlelp a lot :D

You can probably contact some of the more "famous" chinece stores and see if they can help you out.
I bought my phone from hotmid.com and accessories from android-sales.com like a "bumper" and screen protection.

So maybe one of them can help you out :)

Hey buddy

I tried both these sites and also few more like achinaseller etc, but most of them either have a "high imitation" version or nothing at all !

i would love to have a genuine battery that actually stays upto the quoted time of atleast 2 days with a single charge :), which i dont think these imitation ones can ever do. plz let me know if you come across any :D

Did you try to contact them? hotmid is a "famous" site not a small time shop :) so dont think they would sell that cheap 2nd hand s**t

The Ebay batterys have a different mAh then miui battery that you get with your phone.
High capacity Li-ion battery, 1930mAh the battery you get with the phone
ebay: 1860mAh

Mi-One packages BM-10 battery along with the phone rated 1880-1930mAh. I am unable to get good battery life probably because the one i recieved in the package may be faulty, because the software is more or less similar (if we all are using ICS versions).

Nohon offers the replacement battery of 1930mAh, being sold on dealsextreme, but they dont ship to India via airmail. I have to choose DHL and then the cost of shipping is 30$ whereas the battery itself costs 10.2$ :p

One more issue is, nohon offers only battery at the moment and no charging dock to seperately charge the battery while i am using the phone. Or rather, i can charge only 1 battery at a time (while its plugged into the phone). No wall/desktop charges that support direct plug-in battery to charge. May be we have to wait for options here.

I have found another site which sells original BM10 battery at 32$. Little expensive, considering we get the same quality nohon unit for much lesser.

The ideal place to get the original battery is through xiaomi.com. However, since they don't ship outside China, it is next to impossible. For me, I got my original screen protectors and battery back cover from xiaomi.com through an AliExpress seller. I got my Xiaomi Mi-One through him as well.

2 days with a single charge? That is not going to happen. My Xiaomi lasted 13-14 hours on a single charge with moderate usage and that is already better than most smartphones out there.

well, i mean moderate/low usage and that too without 3G, using only 2G network and backlight set to low .. it can happen :)

I see. My moderate usage includes surfing the web for a few hours, taking a few photos, some calls, social media, whatsapp, checking and replying emails. All of a sudden, it sounds more heavy than I expect.

I would call that moderate-heavy usage :) !!

I am not used to being much on the phone and prefer having the battery last long, coz i travel a lot and cant afford to be out of battery often.. i might actually try out the nohon 1930mAh stuff, but hunting a charger for that and also a site that sells them with economical shipping to india. If anyone comes across such a site, plz do lemme know

You might want to check out AliExpress. Get only the ones sold by Xiaomi. I have both the original Mi-One and also the China Unicom version. The China Unicom version mentioned the battery is either made by or from LG.

exactly !!

I think my phone Mi-One Plus came with a Unicom version, made by LG.. so it isnt having that gud battery back up as the earlier versions had. Its hard to find stuff made by xiaomi i guess. I shall either go with Nohon 1930mAh or wait a lil longer for options. AliExpress ships to india at a very expensive rate, higher than the product itself, which is useless waste of money :D SO that would be my last option or a no-option at all

The China Unicom is rated a bit lesser than the regular Xiaomi. The regular only has a BM10 written on the top left corner with a line of chinese text beginning with '3.7'. I think that is still buyable if you go through a reliable agent but the agent will probably want to earn a cut for all the legwork. My AliExpress agent's store is http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/405007. You might want to check with him. He got me original Xiaomi.com screen protectors, battery cover and phone case.

I know a good website for you. :)

http://item.fromtaobao.com/item.htm?id=13279633204&spm=2014.12003210.0.0 for charger
http://item.fromtaobao.com/item.htm?id=13949463587&spm=2014.12003210.0.0 battery itself

Total of 13,7 USD including shipping!
I have already ordered just waiting for shipment. <3
I have checked the final total payment cost and here is the breakup:

$10 (cost of items) + $5 (Handling fees) + $ 38.61 (Shipping fees) = $ 53.61

again, the shipping costs three times the actual cost of the product itself ! :p i hope its cheaper to ur country

I am not sure if the Nohon battery can last longer than the original BM-10. Do keep us updated on the performance.
It cannot, but it's still a good alternative. I'll keep you updated. ;)

Wow, that's weird. You must live in a deserted place then! :p
Shipping is only 2.55 USD for me (I live in the Netherlands). ^^

Ok, so... any update on this?

I want to buy an extra battery but I'm kinda worry about the price, I mean U$7? Some cases cost more than that :S

i contacted android-sale.com about adding a back cover that was in the xiaomi store and they did. so i would recommend that you send them a e-mail asking if they can add the stuff from the xiaomi website and you will get the real deal hopefully :)
You now if a battery is sold for 30 dollars on xiaomi website they dont sell it for 7 dollars somewhere else. that just common sense but i dont no what they sell it for on xiaomi website I'm just saying it sounds very low.

In the Xiaomi site there are two battery options: one for 99 yuan and another for 49 yuan. Those prices are like U$15.75 and U$ 7.8 after conversion, but again, U$7 outside the Xiaomi site and in low quantities sounds very very good to be real, and you know, if a bad quality case breaks in my hand I don't care but if a battery explodes in my ear... well...

Did anybody in this thread BUY AND USE the U$7 battery?? How was it? Thanks again!

yeah buying a fake battery is a gamble of course i understand that people wanne save money but having no ear or loosing your private parts because you had your phone in your pants and it exploded or something that sucks.
If they want less then what Xiaomi wants its probably fake. If you bought something would you sell it if you lost money? normally people wouldn't do that.
