Hi all,
I just buy this fantastic phone and I would like to install the rom from miuiandroid.
But in order to avoid any problem with my new phone (brick), is the rom for MI2-MI2s adeguate for my device that is a MI2sc?

It looks that no one has the answer to my question!
Maybe we can solve in a different way, someone that are using latest rom (3.5.24 or 3.5.31) can check if the baseband version and kernel is the same of the attched screenshoot?

And, please someone with WIUI 3.5.31 can also check?
Thanks in advance

Hi, the only difference between MI2s and MI2sc is that the base band: MI2s can only use GSM(2G) and WCDMA(3G), MI2sc can use GSM,WCDMA and CDMA.
All rom from MIUI for MI2s can be flashed to MI2sc.

BTW: There is an ultimate way to save bricked MI2/Mi2s. And it's hard to flash your M2sc to death, so don't worry, just enjoy your flashing!

sinocreate: just wanted to ensure that Mi2Sc is aries as well, don't think anything bad of my step

Sent from my MI 2

Fantastic information, thanks a lot, really!!
Before your answer, I was evaluate to send back the phone and buy another MI2S (only S this time ;-)).
BTW, in Your opinion, do I have to exercise special procedure for flashing the MI2SC (like using the MiFlash), or simply use the same procedure of MI2S (using the updater already installed in the phone) ??

Normally, there are two methods to update your phone firmware(please follow the official instruction from MIUI):
1, Use the system updater to flash ".zip" formate firmware which you have downloaded to your phone storage; If your phone can not login, boot your phone to recovery mode, and then flash "update.zip" firmware in the root directory of your storage, do not forget to wipe the data!
2,If yor phone can not boot, even the recovery mode, that can be called brick. Press key"volume -" and power button at the same time, then you can boot to "fast boot"mode, then you can flash your phone with MiFlash.

BTW: If you flash your phone to dead, that means it can not boot to recovery mode or fastboot mode, so there is no dispaly on the screen. Don't worry, there is still an ultimate way to save your phone, the base system will get your phone rebirth.
I hope you will never use this way...

Hey Nemo,
I just received my second phone. I ordered the Mi2S but received an Mi2SC.
Did you noticed some problems or differences between the "regular" Mi2S and SC?

Hi,
The only diference that I noticed, its in antutu benchmark I receive much more score respect a mi2s.
All the rest it is the same. You can flash all the ROM for mi2s on your mi2sc.

Once u flashed a ROM u shouldn't see the sc anymore because this name is hardcoded into the ROM. U could dump the original ROM with cwm if u still have it so we can check the differences.
