Xiaomi desvers a spot on xda, Developers please respond

Hi we all really like our xiaomi phones. It deserves a spot on xda, on of the moderators is asking to see some development for the phone, i know some of yall are members on xda, please come but your input so maybe we can see this phone on xda forums.

Xiaomi stole code from Android (GPL), modified it, and then refused to release the changes as the GPL requires. So, XDA hates Xiaomi. That's why this website exists otherwise we'd all be on an XDA sub-forum instead.

The kernel and device tree for certain Xiaomi devices is already released at github.com/mitwo-dev and github.com/micode.

Only the linux kernel in Android is GPL-licensed, the rest is Apache. Apache-licensed code can be modified without being open-sourced. I think Xiaomi providing device tree is generous, though i would yell at them for not releasing MI3 and Hongmi kernel sources yet

its not that they do not deserve this.
But there are a serval things you must know.

1. Xiaomi haves an own community what can help you out (xiaomi.eu / en.miui.en)
2. Xiaomi is using his own launcher so people are not making launchers for the Xiaomi because a custom rom (cynogenmod etc dont want to create for this device)
3. Most people whitch are on XDA are having google phones like Samsung/ HTC / Motorola these kind of phones barely an Chinese Xiaomi/ Zoppo/ Thl etc phone.......

you cant steel an open source product Everyone can use it.

I think Xiaomi changed its behavior since Hugo Barra landed there

They have oppo, hawauii meizu and other Chinese phones, xiaomi should be there as well. Lenovo and meizu will have more soon because there coming to the us soon.

I really don't get them at all. They have a bunch of phones some I've never even heard off they add with no development yet they refuse to add one for he xiaomi phone. There just not going too. They have to much hate for them. That's for sure.
