Post your battery life stats here! See who gets the best battery life.

@shocks I meant like hehe, but thanks. Always useful when people ask about it. Now lets wait for Vanilla Android 4.4 / 4.3 :D

I'm using the normal power setting now by the way and I do notice an improvement in app responsiveness and overall smoothness while battery life stays the same, so you could change battery mode to "normal"

Xtheme engine is the way. Just install xposed framework and xtheme engine module. For better explaination use google :) its easy :)

now i am still comparing the battery life between *latest* WIUI and QDT14. i dont know why, the latest version of WIUI surprised me in terms of battery life. perhaps it is because it offers micore kernel in the ROM.
i will try also your methods on running in normal mode later.
anyway, now i am dual booting. and there is no problem until now. both works fine. however, whatsapp can not works on both system simustaneously *sad

Yes that's a problem with whatsapp. You can also install MiCore on the QDT14 rom, but you should wait for MiCore010 or use MiCore007.
The reason I'm using this because I really do not like the Miui look and feel. It's like my phone came from Toys-r-us. While the whole Vanilla Android look goes perfect with the phone.

Same here, ill have a look. BTW, XDA thread is here:
XDA XthemeEngine

And here is how to port CM themes to this Xthemer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2504371

And for all the KitKat fans, use this theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545932

I found out XthemeEngine did not work on my phone unless I flashed it as a system app, it still gives an error when opening the module, but when I click outside of the confirmation box the app works... Here is the flashable zip I made:

Hey Robinhood,

I got a question. I have the extended battery, and I get about 2H45M of screen on time, and about 2,5 days of total use before I have to recharge. Now I already ( as you know) deleted Facebook, and that helped a lot. But still I have that feeling that my battery is not up to par, when I see people getting 5-8H of screen on time. I am on stock ROM and I have not tweaked anything.

I already tried BetterBatteryStats and Wakelock Detector, but I do not see anything that does not belong there. The only noticable thing is that the Xiaomi cloud services wake the device lots of times, but nothing else seems out of place.

Any ideas? Do I just have a bad battery, or could there be something else that is eating my battery? Something I have not seen? I'd like to hear your opinion about this.

@dbhuis Why don't you try it without Xiaomi cloud services? I get about the same battery stats on the normal battery. You're using Miui or Vanilla/Stock Android?

You don't care ? Fine. Then don't answer any of my questions & i am neither so dumb to ask you any more questions also if you are so KIND !!! to fellow members....
Thanks anyway for your so far help...
Dude, please learn how to read! I answered your question TWICE! And yes, the question was really stupid imho. Come on.... :S :S

Yeah, I disabled cloud services for now. I also now use greenify ( without root) and I am on stock ROM JLB27. ( MIUI.)

Ah ok, try Wiui ;) Miui is s**t, at least in my opinion, or the QDT14 we've been talking about in this thread.

i agree with RobinHood00
if you want MIUI look, use WIUI instead of MIUI. use the *latest* one. choose to use with modified kernel in the installation process.
but if you want vanilla android look, use QDT14
both give me superb battery
i havent try any kitkat ROM yet so i have no idea about the battery life.
i also use app/mod that modify CPU process (underclock), and you can also use Intelli3G as mentioned by RobinHood00.

@J3R3MI3
Glad my findings helped you out! If you want your phone to go on one charge even longer read this:
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/battery-saving-automaticly-switch-2g-2g-3g.23334/
I'm using it too as I show in that thread and it gives you another 15-30% battery life depending on usage :)

You could also undervolt with MiCore for even more battery life but I don't think it is needed with this rom and 2g / 3g tweaks :D
I installed QDT14 directly from miui every thing is great except g2.
When I toggle g2 I have no service at all.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I also might try getting a new 3100MAh battery, maybe this one is just faulty. And if all this fails, I might just buy an iPhone. I mean, I love this phone, but I'm tired of having to flash ROMs and install apps to make things work that should have worked right out of the box. Android and MIUI are great, but maybe it's just not for me right now. But, we'll see. First I'll try your suggestions. And while I was typing, a notification said "update available."A sign from the MIUI gods? :p I'll first install that.

but i am fine with 2g. what do you mean by install QDT14 directly from MIUI? do you use CWM? i think better to wipe cache and dalvik before installing QDT14. mine work very well and no problems. i even dualboot with WIUI.

I mean I downloaded the QDT14 directly from miui's site.
Wiped all 3 data/cache/dalvik.
Flashed the ROM.
Every thing is great but the 2G won't work for me. Emergency calls only.
Another thing I want to change the clock and another stuff on lock screen is it possible? I can't find a way to do it.

i see your problem. you are right. i am not using QDT14 from the miui site. instead, using ROM modified by RobinHood00.

i am using xposed module to change the clock&battery stuff. for lockscreen, it is impossible to modify so just use 3rd party lockscreen.

Mmmm weird, do you have the problem on any rom your using? Maybe should contact your provider or in the worst case... your phone might be malfunctioning :(

Yeah that's a weird phone.
I also get only 1 day of use and a 2.5 hours of screen time, both on QDT14 and WIUI.
Both installed with a full wipe last week, so I don't think it's ROM related....
