Hello all,

Last year, my little sister bought a MI2A in China. It's the 2014512 version.
Anyways, after 4 weeks of use, the touchscreen started to malfunction. A horizontal area as huge as 1 cm, covering from left to right does not react to finger pressure anymore. The area is located about 30% from the bottom -- the area where the buttons like; Ok, confirm, cancel appear). Calling still works, but installing software does not work anymore b/c I cannot press the buttons. The area around that non-working horizontal area has become over sensitive and moving icons around on desktop is a nightmare. The horizontal "void" is like a river where icons cannot cross.

Last week, the bottom 3 buttons also stopped working (options, home, back/cancel).

Because we live in the Netherlands, and because the phone was bought in China, I am clueless where to send the phone to for repair. Does anyone know? Help would be most welcome :)

Yours Sincerely,

Kahshan

I have a similar issue with my mi2. I think you can repair it by buying a touch screen.

It's a lot easier if you buy a pack with touch screen and LCD. Because if you don't do that you will need to un glue your old touch screen.

But the repair will cost nearly the same price as a new phone.

Thank you for the info about the pack. So, buy the combi pack and repair it by myself.

Perhaps if you know the answer: Does the repair fall in warranty? I was already afraid the repair cost being as high as a new phone :/
