I can't make an outgoing call and can't call me also, if I am on 4g.
But the strange thing is, it is exist only with one mobile provider (here in my country Hungary). We have 3 provider:Telekom, Vodafone, Telenor. Telenor won't work. If I change to 3g everything is work like a charm with this provider too. I tried 3 different Mi MIX 2 with chinese stable and developer and EU developer rom too. Same result. Any solution? Thank you.

I had a similar problem with a Mate 9. The problem in that case was VoLTE. Try enabling 4G but disabling VoLTE and try again.

I have the same problem here in Belgium on Base with my Mix 2.
If I enable 4G, I can't call or be called, not with VoLTE enables/disabled.
If I disable 4G, everything works fine.
I installed the ******** version of the ROM, but it seems the problem originates from here.

So you didnt use the ROM from our site but you came here looking for help with someone elses ROM? Right?

If so, 1st suggestion, use our ROM not some other sites, also try stock Chinese ROM to rule out issues. We do not support other sites ROM here.

I'm using the ******** (previously sMIUI) version, but they are based on the roms from xiaomi.eu, and since someone here has the same problem, it originates from here.

Hard to say where it 'originates' from, is it occurring in the stock Chinese ROM?

Don't know if it's in the stock Chinese rom. Will flash it when I get back home Friday.

Hello, the exact same issue with mine : Mi Mix 2 bought from Smartophone with Proximus (Belgium) and I have 2 sim, SIM 1 = call + data 4G, and SIM 2 = data 4G only

In my case, the first issue was on the MIUI official CN stable ROM and I did the following :
1/ SIM 1 (call and data + favorite = LTE + VoLTE enabled) + SIM 2 standby --> No possible call
2/ SIM 1 (call and data + favorite = LTE + VoLTE disabled) + SIM 2 standby --> No possible call
3/ SIM 1 (call and data + favorite = 3G + VoLTE enabled) + SIM 2 standby --> Call possible
4/ SIM 1 (call and data + favorite = 3G + VoLTE disabled) + SIM 2 standby --> Call possible
5/ SIM 1 (call only + VoLTE enabled) + SIM 2 ( favorite = LTE) --> Call possible
6/ SIM 1 (call only + VoLTE disabled) + SIM 2 ( favorite = LTE) --> Call possible

I was thinking that it might be rom linked, so I installed the xiaomi.eu rom for chiron ( dowloaded here from the weekly MIUI rom release thread ) but I have the exact same issue.

I wanted to try the EPIC Rom to see if this changes something ( there is a link to it on XDA ) but, as my phone was already all set with all my apps/settings and as I'm being lazy, I did not try x) If someone with a fresh new one Mix 2 with the issue could test it please ? :p

From what it looks like, it seems that the option to enable/disable VoLTE does not work, and if the operator does not allow VoLTE, then, no call.

It is clearly in the CN stock stable ROM.

That was the reason why I wanted to flash Xiaomi.eu rom, to see if it would change something

Can confirm this issue with this rom as well
Operator: Proximus
Phone: Mi Mix 2
OS: Running Xiaomi.eu 7.9.22 | Beta

When I turn it to preferred 3G everything works without an issue; the moment I switch to 4G it refuses to do anything that is call/text related through sim

Edit:
Haven't checked with other roms yet; so still have to do that. But I'm thinking its due to beeing an early adopter :)

Zsombi, exact same problem, tried within Mi5 no problems at all... But within Mix2 problems

Is it possible the issue is related to Mobile APN?
I do not think so.

I have checked and everything is set as advised by Proximus. They told me that VoLTE was not enabled on my phone. So, it should be normal that preferred network LTE + VoLTE enabled does not work. But, preferred network LTE + VoLTE should work fine.

Sorry. It is looks like this button is not a fix url. But you can confirm as Zanarium wrote to you. Thanks.

(You have to sign in and need pc site not mobile)

Just installed 7.10.12 under the Impression that it works now. So need to test further

I fixed it.
When I go to "My device >> All specs", then press 5 times on "Total Memory" I get in some sort of Test Environment (or type *#*#4636#*#* in dialer)
There I press Phone Info 1 (the top one), there I open the dropdown of the preffered network and I select "LTE/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA" instead of "LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS" and now I have 4G+ enabled and can make/receive phone calls.

Changed to these settings; will give these a test run. Appear to work but during my tests this morning I also experienced problems with Bluetooth calling so will report back later.

Thanks for the info Zeagle!

Hmm, apparently after a reboot, the settings get reset, so you'll have to do this manually after every reboot...

In my case :
1/ New weekly 7.10.12 : No change, bug still present. I Have to stay in 3G preferred to be able to call or receive call
2/ Change in test environment on the new weekly: Does not fix the problem.

I tried it before. But with this method the problem is: no internet at all during the call. Anyway tks.
