Nothing really needed, and not very safe, bases your photos and also unlocks, another person with similar features also ...
Better and safer is fingerprint unlock.

indeed, looks like a pale copy of android 4.0 features....

@ingbrzy everything seems to be OK, face unlock works smoothly on my Mi5X, but.. the audio quality when recording videos are still bad!!

You show 2 differents rom and phones!
One rom and phone is Redmi Note 2 (HMNote2) and its on android 5.0

Second is Mi Note 2 and android 7.0...
Redmi Note 2(HMNote2) its not same as Mi Note 2.

Both roms have good name and md5 checksum

Next time read what rom You download...

Dirty flash over last weeks weekly and all is good. Audio notifications for K9Mail working now so very happy & face recognition works fine as well.

full install....mi mix 2

MiMix2 [128/6GB], 7.11.16, rooted with SuperSU 2.82, all OK on PlayStore.

So far so good. WELL DONE guys, very nice job. Telegram notifications work perfectly and facial recognition is a very appreciated surprise and I'd say that at a very first sight it is working well, even in a very dark room. Maybe will be not so sure as fingerprints but so much handier and quicker.
P.S.: facial recognition and fingerprints unlock are working together.

Only on Weekly, as Stable has the feature set from 6-8 weeks ago - hence the term "Stable", i.e. plenty of testing/de-bugging.
