The Google Framework is pre-built in the phone. What you need is to prepare is the Google Store APK downloaded in somewhere. You may also update the Google Framework from version 13 to version 14 manually. Meanwhile, remember to allow permission for the contact sync and others. Don't know if the Google Contact must be installed.
Highly suggest you all to disable the auto update of the mi-app-storej and change many settings manually once.

Google Pay works fine with Mix 2S China ROM.
May you tell me how to set it up? I tried to add cards but the verification process was hold and timed out like what's happened as others. I had no such problem in another mi phone

Just did it the same way as you have described and it worked for me.

No chance im posting pics related to payment / cards :) sorry, no can do.
Sure you won't . I compared the process of registering the card in two phones. The mix 3 can't go to the 2-step verification page after accepting the standard EULA. There may be somethings missing in the current system. If anyone can capture the screen with installed Google apps I would be appreciated. Thank you.

Meanwhile, the mix 3 system comes with some minor bugs expected to be fixed sooner or later. It's a good phone at all.

Double check all your framework/webview/playstore is all latest versions as well. Likely is something in the main OS of the Mix 3 preventing the Google Pay element working properly. As I say on Mix 2S it seems ok.

I just compared two phones. I suspect it's the internal settings changed in the current system. What I can do is to wait for newer rom at the moment.

The new phone needs 30days waiting for unlocked bootloader. That means no EU ROM is expected for at least a month. Luckily I am not addicted on Google Pay daily.

Anyway thx for help.
