Is there any way to adjust or control LED Notification Light (dipper)?

Title says it all. I'm just wondering because, its really not that bright and the breathing effect is worse than blinking.

Anyways I tried other kernel like sphinx and the notification light is bright and blinking not breathing. However, I don't wanna use custom kernel because I love stock. Thanks!
