Still no issues with AOD edge notifications after a couple hours
Little update. Due to the non functional google assistant I came form .14 instead of .21. edge light has NOT been working after a dirty flash. To fix edge light notifications you have to wipe "system". This works... Edge light working now. However, purging "system" seems to make ok google non functional on .28 again. It looks like the "system" data I carried over from .14 kept google assistant functional. Now I have edge light working but a broken assistant again. Will go back to .14 to fix the assistant and then upgrade to .28 again without purging "system". This way I renounce on edge light but have a working ok google setup.very okay for me but I think this is worth mentioning. Keep in mind, this is my scenario and I'm not sure if it's the same for you. Would be interested in your experiences with his.
Battery performance also kind of low. First I expected it to be b cause of many app updates and Dropbox uploads but my battery dropped from fully charged to 62% since 7 in the morning. Drain feels high IMO.

I'd start with a clean flash, can't reproduce any issues with google assistant.
Also did you just try enabling AOD edge notifications via the new setting ?

yes I know these settings, and they are activated.
edit: just found out, the edge notification only works for me, if the power-cord is plug in for charging !!!
then the edge notifications are shown (green edges on both sides) when I unplug the charger, the edge notifications are gone !
so the edge notifications are only enabled for me, if the Mi8 is charged and the charged animation was activated

Try to update webview from play store. Similar crashes were reported with 9.3.21 as well and webview update fixed the issueSome app is crashing ocassionally after updating to 9.3.28 - this is the crashlog

I have the Redmi note 5 with MIUI 10.3 xiaomi.eu 9.3.14 / BETA, which is Android 8.1. My ARB is 3.
I would like to switch now to the current 9.3.28, which is Android 9.
Can I do that via the updater?
Do I get ARB 4 with the new version, because the files causing ARB are in the firmware folder?
My device is unlocked and I already have TWRP installed.

Way to early to tell, for me the massive standby drain usually starts on day 2 after flashing rom update or kernel
Thanks, is this new twrp version backwards compatible? I.e. I can flash OK on android 8.1?

I think so yes, I noticed a similar thing after flashing simple kernel 2.95 on 9.3.21.
Going to try the edit version, as the edge notification doesn't work without the charger in my Mi 8.

OK. In the Android 8.1 version, however, the files that cause ARB have been removed. Will that still happen in the Android 9 version or do I have to live with it now that my phone has ARB 4 now.
