Will xiaomi.eu continue with weekly builds now that Xiaomi has announced their new strategy?

Xiaomi has announced that they will no longer deliver weekly beta builds to devices older than 1 year. (only stable)
Will this impact the builds of xiaomi.eu?

In these first posts in Chinese on the MIUI forum they also state that the beta/developer builds can be continued for longer than one year if they want to, and that 3 months notice will be given before ending them for any device.

Noone seems to be interested in reading what they actually wrote there.
There is a lot of discussion there about why they want to do this -

Reduce effort put into the developer versions, and increase effort on the stable versions.

I think Xiaomi has not yet decided exactly how they are going to do this, and want to see what the reactions will be.

Then, how would you expect Xiaomi.eu to continue producing weeklies if the source at Xiaomi disappears?

Hopefully more and better stable versions will appear instead.

hi, you will continue release stable version for that devices?(older than 1 year ) i have a whyred and love this rom

Of course, China Stable will be released normally, hence we will also make a release as soon as they are available.

I have a doubt. I have a Mi Note 3 with Xiaomi.eu weekly rom, if the beta updates stop, when a new stable comes out will it be updated to the stable channel automatically? Or will I have to do it manually? Will there be any way to do it without losing the data? I do not want to run out of updates suddenly (I was in beta to receive the updates before the stable one, not to be outdated) :(

Everything has been indicated in multiple posts. There is nothing more to add at this stage.

Well, Xiaomi has gone deeper, no more developer ROMs. So I guess it will all be stable EU Roms from now on ...

Are you refusing to read? No where does it state no more dev ROM!

Hi Mark,

I am new here. Wanna ask something. Since Poco F1 only has Global stable/Beta and doesn't have China stable/beta, does it mean that the EU roms for Poco F1 only left EU stable if global beta goes off?

I would just keep checking for info as we are not 100% of the China side schedule for now.

I've read that only GLOBAL beta will be stopped, so I assume Chinese developer will be carried on...
Did I misunderstood or what?

For those who has China beta rom available instead of global beta, then no issue.
But poco f1 doesn't have China rom and that's why many users are concerned about this issue.

If no Global Beta ROMs will be released for POCO F1, then there won't be Xiaomi.eu Weekly ROMs for the device as well.

ya, you are right. There's no way eu beta can go on without global beta for Poco F1. Hopefully the stable can update frequently like 2 weeks once to add, remove, fix stuffs.

And guess I will make a jump from Global Beta since the ship will sink soon and go for EU stable then. I have never tried EU before. Can someone please tell me how was the overall experience and battery performance?

Naaah, what happened with the orange Fridays? That was Xiaomish style of development and advertising....and now-sit back and wait that stable version! Pfff...
