Its not really a big thing, but when I lock my screen the album art is stretched, and it looks sorta nasty in some cases, however when it is on the music player UI it looks fine (it is a much smaller size)

Any way to change this?

One, I love that album.
Two, either you have to change a setting, wait for the devs to fix it (there's always bugs in initial releases that they may fix next week), or go in and fix the size/resolution yourself, which, as of now, I don't think can be done.

Thank you for posting this. I can't help you with your stretching issue, but I had no idea Lupe Fiasco had a new album out. I'm going to grab that asap. Thanks.

As for the issue at hand, like I said, I can't help with it. It's probably hard-coded to stretch to fit the screen.

I would suggest going into the Music settings, scrolling to the bottom, and using the "Submit Feedback" option to tell the MIUI devs that it's a problem.

Does it still play music? :p

What do you mean by "took a step down?"

Haha your comment made me laugh! :p I just mean aesthetically, it kinda just went waaaay off. Oh! And no it doesnt! All my music got the error "this type of file cannot be played" so I deleted it all.

Scrolling in the new music app is wayyyy smoother for me, it has its pros and cons aesthetically tho

is anyone able to see music on their internal sd card? (emmc)
If you have root explorer or you are connected to your PC look for a folder named .nomedia then delete it then restart your phone. This folder may appear again at some point later, so keep deleting it as such. What the .nomedia folders does is is telling the phone to not see whatever directory its in hence it
hides everything ( all of the folders of the directory its in)

Thanks for the tips... But its still not reading! It reads music from the removable sd card pretty easily but I only have 4 gigs on that. I appreciate any help, I've looked through the forums and can't seem to find any answers

yes... my music is under music/emmc is that the right place? or would it even matter what folder it is in?

Found a solution.

The music app saves the album art as 256X256 jpgs in sdcard\MIUI\Music\Album\. If you replace those files with your own higher-res art, you won't see the stretching on the lock screen. I just doubled it to 512x512.

It looks like it only stores art for songs without embedded art in the tags. In the settings there is an option to "force embedded artwork." Turning this off and requesting the app to get the album art will create all the files you need on the sd card. Just match the files names and continue rocking.

Does anyone else use doubleTwist to sync music? How do I get my playlists to show up? Thats the only thing i need from a music player. Support for my playlists in double twist, and MIUI doesn't have it :(

Playlist

Is this ever going to be fixed The playlist feature does not recognize Ur own playlist which u synced from your computer. im in desperate need of this cause i like to listen to my recently added songs and the playlist which is already there doesn't work for me since im constantly trying out new roms wiping flashing etc.... Any word on this???

Is there a specific format the playlist has to be in or will it read normal .m3u files or whatever people put them in as?

Is there a way to make the music app play an album in track order by file name or track number? On some of my albums, it plays the songs in order by song title.

They display in track order for me, and I don't see an option to change that. Are you sure your ID3 tags contain the track numbers?

I'm thinking that might be the problem, but I'll need to check. I'll play around more with the app today, and check my ID3 tags and see what's going on. Thanks.

EDIT: I checked my ID3s and they're all clean. This morning, everything was in a random-ass order like I had shuffle on or something. I can't seem to figure it out. I have no idea how it's sorting the songs.
