Redmi K20 Pro to Mi 9T Pro conversion patch (MIUI 11 & 12)

hello, i don't understand the difference between safe and actual. And should I regularly go see if a new version of your patch is available or will this version work for all miui 12 beta. (Actually i use the safe version)

Hello,

- if you use Weekly/Beta xiaomi.eu ROM and use "Actual" version -> you will get a bootloop after each ROM update (you will need to flash "Actual" version after each ROM update to be able to boot)
=> To avoid that: Always use "Safe" version/Never use "Actual" version

- if you use Weekly/Beta xiaomi.eu ROM and you don't care of bootloop after ROM update or like to have it (nice reminder to apply the patch ^^)
=> Use "Actual" version

You will never be stuck if you download both "Actual" and "Safe" versions. (If "Actual" version gives bootloop, re-flash ROM and flash "Safe" version instead)

EDIT: The difference between "Safe" and "Actual" is only about fingerprint build & security patch date infos.

Thanks you. And if i don't flash the safe version After an update am i going to have a bootloop ?

I´m trying to flash miui12 eu and stucks in a TWRP bootloop, doesn´t boot to system anyway flashing safe version too

I tryed update with a dirty flash but didn´t work, and also with a clean install doesn´t boot

Maybe i´m doing something wrong with clean install..could you tell me wich are the steps to a correct install?

Clean install = "Format Data" in TWRP (NOT "Wipe..." then select "Data" partition) then flash .EU ROM.

;)

Then the process is:

Format data (type yes)
Copy eu rom to storage
copy conversion safe patch
install both zip´s

EDIT: now is booting to miui 12 with a clean install, many thanks to you
With a dirty flash (wipe dalvik/cache) and installing doesn´t work for me.

Again, many thanks to you

New versions released for a clean MIUI 12 compatibility! (also still working on MIUI 11 and on any MIUI ROM)

Sorry for the delay, I also made a new "logo.img" based on MIUI 12 one (for all available patch versions).
thanks bro, works miui 12

No problem. :)

And the last question, wich would be the best way to do a dirty flash? I always wipe cache/dalvik and install, but in this case from miui11 eu to miui12 eu it doesn´t work, any suggestion to do it correctly?

You don't need to wipe cache/dalvik after flashing xiaomi.eu ROM, it's already made during flash.
I don't know why you got issue after having dirty flashed MIUI 12 update, it was OK for me.
;)

works like a charm on MIUI 12 :)
single thing is, if i connect the phone to PC it detects as Redmi K20 :)) but everything else is good...

I see "Xiaomi Mi 9T", you may need to reboot your PC or clear cache/dalvik in TWRP if you didn't. :)

bootloop when flash Safe patch in xiaomi.eu 20.4.30 miui 12
If you used "Actual" version before, you need to use "Actual" version again mate. ;)
Please read OP! :D

EDIT: New "Universal" patch available! Please try it and feedback, thanks! :)

Thanks for the universal patch!

Moved from the other thread as it belongs to here:
What advantage does it give to change fingerprint build & security patch date info other than xiaomi.eu team has given with their ROM?
If this patch does not actually install a new security patch but changes the info to a fake one then the users will think their security patch is up to date but it is not the case actually.

Fingerprint build can be used to detect device model.

- For Stable .EU ROM, it's China Stable fingerprint build. And the security patch date info = the real security patch date of the ROM.

- But for Weekly .EU ROM, it already use a fake security patch date info. ;)

Anyway, even after using my patch, you can still know the real security patch date of your .EU ROM in "My Device" > "All specs" menu.

Now it is clear, thanks.

Hello, what is Universal patch ? Is it the new name of the actual version ?
Universal = Actual & Safe versions reunited!

Universal patch checks ROM info (Security patch date info) and automatically apply the best choice to avoid bootloop!

:)
