Hello Mi 9 Pro users, I am using TWRP 3.3.1 0102 and I cannot make any backup from recovery, is there any new version who could help to have at least full TWRP fonctions on Mi 9 Pro?

From my litle experience it is not advisable to rely on any backup made from unofficial TWRP. Too many surprise!
Wait for official one.

I've never been able to successfully restore from TWRP on a Xiaomi phone, official or otherwise. Generally speaking, there should be no real need anyway, just back up your apps with Titanium, and there aren't even that many apps where you really need the data, the app itself can be restored from the Play Store. The bigger backup issue is the media storage, photos etc, but TWRP won't help with that anyway.

Is your storage encrypted? Unless you've unencrypted your phone, no current version of TWRP will be able to successfully restore.

Hmm I think he hasn't released for crux.
Try the other ones like orangefox or shrp. Just google mi 9 pro twrp I'm not sure 100% which ones are available.

Well, I don't know on what devices you were using TWRP, I also sometime had issue with restoring with TWRP, but most of the time it was perfect. I could restore or System + Data or just Data, and it was very useful for clean installation, I had just to wipe everything, install the new ROM, and restore all data like a charm. on Mi 1, Mi 2, M2s, Mi Note, Mi Pad, Mi 4 S, Mi 5S, Mi Note3, Mi 6, Mi 9SE, and now Mi 9 Pro who doesn't have yet official TWRP.

That's what I mean. It's not like it used to be on older devices where you could simply restore /system & /data. You now have to wipe, flash /system, then restore /data. A simple restore no longer works.

That's what I also found. Various links, but all pointing to LR Team or the other one (Turkish?). Neither can decrypt the storage.
