Xiaomi.eu ROM with SafetyNet

Hi.

I have just bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, with MIUI 12.0.1 Global. I have just discovered call recording is impossible on the ROM and that's a severe problem for me.

I have read on the forums that switching to Xiaomi.eu stable will grant me with out of the box call recording. My doubt is about SafetyNet. Keeping safetyNet is a must on that phone because of games. I don't need root on that phone.

So, can I just unlock bootloader, flash Xiaomu.eu MIUI 12, then lock bootloader again and keep the Xiaomi.eu ROM working? Is SafetyNet expected to verify again after locking the bootloader again, even with Xiaomi.eu ROM? Will I suffer any downside? I think I won't get security updates because of locked bootloader, am I wrong? Is the whole process reversible? I mean if it's possible to go back to locked stock MIUI global again exactly as the phone was when bought.

Thank you in advance.

Hi
You CAN NOT relock the bootloader on EU rom.
You can relock the boot only flashing a stock rom.
Safetynet is without issue on EU rom excepted phone that don't have patch available.
In that case you must root with Magisk and apply the relevant module.
Anyway Google is the boss and they do what they want on this subject. So no long term warranty.
EDIT:
Hey!
I just mind you requested this for Redmi note 8 Pro and this phone is Mediatek software and not supported at EU.
Forget my saying or go to the shop for an exchange...

Big thanks to you @LOLO9393 for saving my time on trying to install eu ROm .

So just assuming I either need to root my phone to enable call recording by hard methods, and assume the risk of anytime Google breaking my gaming experience, or assume I've lost call recording feature.

Thank you for your wisdom!
