new mbtwrp_xxx_umi. / twrp-3.4.2b-1206 / 1208 from wzsx150

I just unlocked the Bootloader of my Mi 10 (umi).

I was on official miui EEA stable.

I did to test
Code:
fastboot boot recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150.img
= OK

So
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150.img
fastboot reboot recovery

It's working fine. I did format my /data partition. Now I have to install weekly EU.

I did a thread here but got no answers
I hope I did everything correctly

i think after flashing weekly rom, you are on Android 11 and "old" TWRP 3.4.0 (littleturtle) has overwritten your new twrp 3.4.2b_1206.
reflashing TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150.img will not work, cause it is not booting from phone. It boots only from adb fastboot command

I'm with my Mi10Pro on Android 11. And now I'm not able to encrypt my phone with TWRP anymore.
Is it possible to flash just the new TWRP version and keep all the data and files on my phone?
And is it just via fastboot possible or could I choose the new TWRP image file with the official TWRP App.
I have no desire and don't want to put my phone back on.

@sxHeavy after flash weekly your recovery doesnt not working , with the new twrp too... you must use allways :
fastboot boot recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150.img

the new twrp goes to fastboot after flash ... booting is working on android 11 umi..

littleturtle make it compatible gogogog :D

TWRP 1206 on android 11 boot only with known command from fastboot ..
For me the only difference i can find from 0623 is only the written version ( one said 0623 and the other 1206 ) , nothing changed unfortunately , the boot time is the same long time as with 0623 and even the touch issue is exactly the same , i can't understand any other change ..
So , we're at the same situation , nothing changed after 1206 release ..

Ok thanks for the info. I haven't tried yet to go TWRP since I installed latest weekly Android 11. But I understand that the rom replaced recovery and if needed we must only

fastboot boot recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150.img

You can easily replace the recovery img from rom with the twrp 1206 , just rename it to recovery.img and put it in firmware-update folder by replacing the existing recovery..
Flash the rom and recovery will change ..

EDIT
The only way to enter is only by command .. fastboot boot twrp.img

Flash the rom , reboot to system and you can easily enter twrp 1206 by extended powermenu ..
Oh didn't knew that. Then there's no problem at all with this phone/rom

Did you really boot successfully from umi phone (latest weekly - Android 11) with TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150 on?

NO , i flash the rom with new 1206 twrp but nothing changed , rom boots but TWRP as i said before seems behaves the same as 0623 ..

EDIT
I did a mistake , this procedure works for LMI and CMI .. NOT UMI .. SORRY , i confused threads..

Dont replace the twrp in latest weekly rom of Mi 10 / umi with TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150. Otherwise you cant boot, i think.

No there is no problem , i did this on both devices ( lmi and umi ) , i changed recovery.img at both roms ( 20.12.2 ) and flash them over , no problem with boot ..
For lmi everything is fine and twrp works without issues ( though i think that there is no differences with 0623 also except the date name , 0623 works on lmi without issues too ). ..
For umi the same things , nothing changed..

I don't have problem to boot to system , i install 1206 through rom as i said ..
I boot to 1206 twrp with command .. fastboot boot twrp.img .. reboot to system , done , no problem here ..
With 0623 also no issue to boot to system ..
Weird..

What you did is called fastboot command, booting using the fastboot command means you don't boot the recovery directly from phone flash memory.

I explained this in a previous post , though i made a recovery installation through rom zip file , on LMI twrp works with anyway you want..
But it's not the same for UMI , on UMI all known problems remains and the only way to boot to twrp is only with fastboot commands ..

I knew that.

Weird things with UMI TWRP. Hope Xiaomi EU can fix it.

Latest EU weekly rom contain a TWRP that can't decrypt mi 10 pro internal storage, the wzsx150 TWRP (both 0623 and 1206) could decrypt the mi 10 pro internal memory.

If you are on latest EU weekly rom, flash the wzsx150 TWRP (either 0623 or 1206) to the memory and you are good to go. Next time if you want to update Weekly EU rom without being overwritten TWRP, just download the rom zip file drirectly to phone, use winrar (phone verison) to delete the recovery.img in rom zip file and flash the rom through wzsx150 TWRP.

You can use it without using USB-OTG right
Yes you can , but you can't enter other way than from fastboot mode..
So , enter fastboot and use below commands..
fastboot devices ( device recognition )..
fastboot boot twrp.img ( wait almost 70 seconds to load twrp , don't worry about black screen , just wait and twrp will load )..

wait almost 70 seconds to load twrp - that is useful information
I also had some troubles with touchscreen - you have to press everything a little bit lower than it's displayed.

I might be wrong but you are not booting recovery from the phone recovery here, you just put your phone on fastboot then boot AnyFilesWhoHappensToBeTwrp.img from your computer.

To be clear.
