When using the Fair mail app and trying to view I once by mistake tipped "Remember my choice" and "Save" (at least I think so) and from that moment the phone allows only to save the file, not to first view it. This his happening only with attached MP4 files, the same story repeating itself also with Gmail App and Outlook App. My conclusion is therefore that a default task command has changed and is preventing to play the MP4 files before saving them to the phone's memory (not a straightforward procedure). I tried to correct it in the Settings, but without success. Can anybody advice me, how could I change/override this default task command or has an idea, what could be the reason for this troublesome bug? The phone runs on Android 10 and and was behaving on MIUI 11 and now on MIUI 12 in the same way.

Go to the app you selected as default and in it's settings there is a Clear Defaults button.
Thank you Geoorg! I have done it already, that is checked the "Clear default" in all my 3 installed mail apps. And there were no defaults set. But you mail induced in me to second thoughts and so I checked also the receiving app - that is "File manager". There were some defaults set and when I cleared them the problems was solved. Thank you again. Yes, you must act according to the saying "follow the money" and you can trace the villain...
