Hey,
Im on Mi 6, and this is the first time im going to install a custom ROM, currently still using stock MIUI 11. Is there a way to avoid doing Factory Reset or do I absolutely have to do it before installing?

Thanks guys

Hello,

There are no Stable MIUI 12 ROMs for Mi 6 (and certainly never have... because it's an old device). :)

Anyway if you plan to install a custom ROM, the bootloader of your device requires to be unlocked and this process will automatically format your data (unvoidable).

;)

Thanks!
Also, why does the Mi6 appear on the following table:
I thought it means that it's possible to install MIUI12 on it...
The table only shows the "eligible" list of devices that should get MIUI 12. ;)

But Xiaomi doesn't seem to want to release MIUI 12 Stable for Mi 6 => https://piunikaweb.com/2020/07/17/x...ate-not-on-cards-says-mi-community-moderator/

EDIT: But the latest Weekly ROM version (20.6.18) is based on MIUI 12, it's available here => https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/20-6-18.56244/

:)
