My device does not ask for pin anymore when unlocking the screen. The only time it asks is after a reboot (and it explicitly ask for pin, ignoring my fingerprint). The error shows up everywhere (so it's not bind to a physical place that my phone recognizes), with any combination of settings (BT on/off, WiFi on/off, Mobile Data on/off, Flight Mode on/off, GPS on/off... and so on).
I've tried toggling protection for lockscreen, but the error keep showing up. I don't have any other device that my device could recognize to skip a verification through a code/fingerprint.

I'm on stock ROM (MiUi 12.5.1) , locked bootloader, no root

##EDIT FOR MOTE DETAILS##
I don't have facial recognition turned on.
I can turn the screen on in two ways: by clicking on the power button and by double tapping on the screen. Neither of these ask for a pin. (I can also use my fingerprint, but it works as intended)
I had to stop the "double tap to turn on screen", because my phone was unlocking randomly in my pocket (even with "pocket mode" on)

I assume you don't have face recognition active right?

:)

Sent from my Mi 11 Ultra.
