Camera freeze

Yes this occurs, when you first open the app and try to take a picture before it could auto focus.

Hey guys, I'm on MIUI Gingerbread. I think it's 1.3.5, but I can't check because my phone froze when I was taking picures! The first time it happened it rebooted after a few mins of being frozen. Now it's been frozen for about an hour. Any idea how to fix this?

Lol yea just pull the battery out and put it back in. I hope you weren't staring at a frozen screen for a hour. Lol

Thanks for the quick reply! I was skeptical of pulling the battery, but I'll try that. I was doing other stuff so I just left it. Why does it do that? Is there any way to prevent it?

I have no idea. I have a Evo and haven't experienced that before but android phones sometimes freeze but its nothing a battery pull can't fix

Yea someone was asking me about this camera issue. I took about 40 pics in a row over and over again then it finally happened. I am not sure if its libs or what, Since this happens with miui libs and modified libs, its a tough one to call.

That's interesting. Interesting that it happens across multiple phones.

Hi Everyone,

I have a Samsung T-959 Vibrant (T-Mobile) that WILL NOT take a picture anymore. Using 1.5.20 Beta 7 of MIUI ROM with the applied English language pack (preinstalled) and the CM7 (Cyanogen Mod) installer as specified by this xda-developers.org page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992302&highlight=MIUI+Official+How+to and other than the pesky Camera app problems, I'm really loving MIUI.
I don't know if this exactly pertains to you, but I had a Vibrant on MIUI about a week ago. Ran MIUI for 3 weeks. I noticed a problem with the camera when I was on 1.5.13 1b. The problem was actually on the kernel. What kernel are you running? The kernels listed on XDA aren't exactly 100% stable (speaking about the kang ones).

This happens to me as well. Also happens when using the video camera.
I was really liking this ROM, but will have to go back to my previous ROM.
