Call recording not working MIUI 12.5* ("Temporarily resolved")

I am currently using a Mi 9t pro. Since the update to 12.5 and higher, call recording does not work. It sounds like a robot or barely last 2-5 seconds without audio. After reinstalling services and applications, the problem persisted, but I found the error.

The google assistant is using the microphone at the same time and when calling it should be automatically deactivated. As this does not happen, the assistant is still active and uses the microphone, which means that calls cannot be recorded. The only option is to turn off the google assistant completely or to turn off "ok google" (The assistant will work, but it will not automatically activate when you say "ok google").

To access this option, go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Click on the top 3 dots > Default apps > Voice input & assistance

I hope everyone can temporarily fix this bug and hopefully release an update. :)

Unfortunately, we have no control over how AudioFlinger handles audio input/output. This is low-level stuff and is up to Xiaomi to fix.

Can you somehow make the assistant stop running only during calls? (Sorry if it's a sentence full of bullshit, I'm not developer) I'll try to make a tasker project but even if it works not everybody uses tasker

Yeah, nonsense. Like I said, we have no control over how AudioFlinger handles audio input/output.

Is there something we can do with the native call recording for the poco X3 pro to work?
I have MI8 and the the recorder is working perfect, why does this happens to poco X3 pro model?
Poco x3 pro is more expencive !!
If we change the rom version <I have 12.5.4> the problem will be fixed ?
Do you suggest something ?
I tried to stop running the google assistand but doesnt let me to do it , what can I do ?

It's because of the ok Google feature. If you disable it then you'll be fine

Where is this feature to disable it ?Can you guide me pleade ?
I disable google assistant and the recording feature isnt exist at the phone menu ~when I making a call ..
Google app (not chrome)->profile pic (up right)->settings->google assistant->hey google (disable)

OP is a lifesaver! Fixed my issue with the call recorder. Thing is, it only started this month and I'm sure it's an update to the Google app that somehow changed how the audio's handled. I still have recordings but it's just blank audio.
Thanks for the fix man!

Hi I have a Mi 8 and for a long time I was unaware of the existence of a Miui update to 12.5.2
Only today having missed three very important phone call recordings I noticed the existence of this issue. As someone said, disabling Google Assistance "Ok Google" solved the problem.

May I know how to have BOTH Google Assistance "Ok Google" and phone recording working?
I need both features.

Is anyone working on a fix or do we just don't have any solution for now and in the future?

Thanks

So this means that every user who is using Miui 12.5.2 is currently having the same issue and that for about one year since it's release nobody has ever done anything and all these users keep suffering from this issue OR maybe it is just a temporary issue that happened since recent Google updates will go away with future Play Store updates?

I see that this thread is dated December 3rd, 2021 and since then NOBODY ever created a fix.

All this just because the device or Miui version reached end of life that means that all users using it must die due to this issue??? Are we forced to have to spend money purchasing a new device only because of this issue???
Is this how it works?

It sounds strange to me that even if this is an old device nobody cares about such issue.

If just because this device reached end-of-support a long time ago the problem will stay as it is forever is it possible to downgrade Miui version from current one to a previous version where the problem doesn't exists? Is this possible or will I create issue to the device and my data?

Which version is not affected from this issue?
Anyone can please advise me?

Thank you

If you downgrade, it is recommended to backup and format data. For the other questions, I hope you wil find someone able to answer them.

You are not forced to do anything and what you do with your money is not my problem. I don't get any salary from you.
If nothing was done, means nothing could have been done. If you have a problem with that, move back to the official ROM.
Good luck.
