Is it safe to update from TWRP installation to Fastboot?

Hello! I have a Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G (monet) and I'm using Stable MIUI 12 from xiaomi.eu. I remember I installed through TWRP, however, can I install Stable MIUI 13 through Fastboot without wiping the data partition? Will I have any problems if I don't perform a clean install? Thanks
