I'm needing a 12 Pro in the global variant for using in USA, only I don't much care for the Global ROM & want to try the EU one but I'm not about installing it myself. Can you buy a 12 Pro Global Variant with EU ROM already installed?
Thx ฅ»^•ﻌ•^«ฅ

I would be surprised if it is possible. The most obvious benefits of the EU custom ROM are Google services and translations, and both are part of the Global ROM, so I feel like the target demographic for people willing to pay a higher price is very limited.

In addition, updating the ROM can require as much efforts as installing the first time, so the benefits for the user is also very limited.

I would argue that we have much more than Google services and translations that are worth switching over from Global.
Global ROM is literally barebones compared to our ROM, which combines the best of both Global and China ROMs along with our own QOL additions.
And yes, it's actually possible to buy certain models with Xiaomi.eu preinstalled, from a legitimate seller, which mainly sells to Europe, but also ships to the US.
The hardware variant is China, but can't see how that matters in this device's case, especially if you're going to use Xiaomi.eu ROM anyway.

Thank you! I'm gonna go now to the links you shared but wanted just to clarify first tho, you're saying that it doesn't actually make a difference whether it's the International variant or Chinese variant where the hardware is concerned when it comes to the 12 Pro model? From the info I found here https://m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_12_pro-11287.php it looks like there's very few bands the Chinese version has that International doesn't but there are a small handful that the International does have that the Chinese doesn't, which is my concern. I'm not very knowledgeable on the 4g/5g bands & frequencies networks use & find it all a bit confusing so am not completely sure which I'll need on the T Mobile network here, specifically for 4g lte, extended range, & 5g. As such I feel the International version is a safer choice for it's inclusion of more bands, unless someone knowledgeable on the subject can verify that the Chinese version would suffice.

According to T-Mobile website:
Frequencies that can provide Extended Range (XR) 5G:
Band n71 (600 MHz)

Frequencies that can provide Ultra Capacity (UC) 5G:
Band n41 (2.5 GHz)
Band n258 (24 GHz)
Band n260 (39 GHz)
Band n261 (28 GHz)

Frequencies that can provide Extended Range LTE:
Band 12 (700 MHz)
Band 71 (600 MHz)

Frequencies that can provide 4G LTE:
Band 2 (1900 MHz)
Band 5 (850 MHz)
Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
Band 66 (Extension of band 4 on 1700/2100 MHz)

According to Xiaomi China's specifications page for Xiaomi 12 Pro:
5G: n1/n3/n5/n8/n28a/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78/n79
4G FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/18/19/26
4G TDD-LTE: B34/38/39/40/41/42

And according to Xiaomi Global's specifications page for Xiaomi 12 Pro:
5G: n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n20/n28/n38/n40/n41/n66/n77/n78/n79
4G FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28/32/66
4G TDD-LTE: B38/39/40/41/42/48

So besides Band 66 (which I've never heard of) you basically get the same bands available on both for T-Mobile.
T-Mobile's Extended Range (XR) 5G Band n71 is not supported on either variant, but Ultra Capacity (UC) 5G Band n41 is supported on both.
Note that the Chinese band list might not even be full on purpose, just for relevance's sake.

Thank you so much for that!!! I found the one I want on the last link you provided in your previous post & it shows 72/100 compatibility for T Mobile US so I guess that means it works on 41 even without 71 & 66
