This method applies to all SDE 5 chips - Xiaomi 17 Series (PRO,MAX,ULTRA ETC..). I unlocked my 17 Ultra running CN ROM & converted to the .eu ROM from this community fine. TO make all the banking apps/pay work you need to install a few modules in KernelSU after you have flashed the boot.img. Mainly you need to make sure the kernel you flash has SUSFS module baked in (you can try wildkernel from git). BUT make sure to back up existing boot img(s).

I managed to bootloop my phone twice, but no stress as it was easy to revert with fastboot. If you want more steps let me know & il post a guide.

To be honest, I'm really worried about blocking it. It says you need to have the security patch before February 2026, but since I haven't bought it yet, the security patch will inevitably be released after February 2026—will it still work?

Exactly, this method will not last too long.

Xiaomi 17 ultra global. I wasn't aware of this news and installed all updates, including security updates. As of March 14th. The security patch is from early February. I successfully used the unlock script. A huge thank you to the community! Down with phone manufacturer slavery.

Download 8 Elite 5bloc, log out of your Xiaomi account, disable face, finger, and password locks, go to the developer menu and enable USB debugging. Then run the script in the archive, and it does everything automatically!
I did, I had the February security patch for Xiaomi 17.

For anyone wondering I have an conversation with a
Tradingshenzhen support and their reply is this so be careful ordering new devices. They open sealed package somehow activate and update the device.

"Hello
you will not able to unlock it.

if we don't activate the device, you can't use it outside of china.

we do not warrant bootloader unlock
you will not be able to unlock it AT ALL."

Buy on other shop. They open to Install Google play - and make upgrade. All can be activated outside China

I ran into the following issue (my fault, I know).

The phone is a Xiaomi 17 Pro that originally came with Chinese firmware. I unlocked the bootloader and flashed Xiaomi.eu. Then I decided to go back to stock, and while flashing via MiFlash I accidentally didn’t remove the “clean all and lock” option.

The phone flashed successfully, but now it won’t boot (bootloop), and the bootloader is locked.

Now I don’t know how to fix this issue.

I also tried running the script “Xiaomi+Snapdragon+8E5+One-Click+Bootloader+Unlock” from fastboot mode (only fastboot works), but nothing worked.

Do you have solution to resolve this problem?

By bootloop you mean that the phone stays on Mi Logo / HyperOS animation or goes into recovery mode?

Only Mi Logo. Loading and then reboot. HyperOS not loading, also wipe mode not work (Vol + and power), only fastboot mode (vol - and power) works.

Did you try this method to unlock the bootloader again - https://xdaforums.com/t/xiaomi17-se...xiaomi8elite5seriesbootloader-unlock.4781439/.

When in Fastboot mode check in Device manager if the phone is correctly recognised.
yes i try this method. i am be able only to enter device to fastboot mode.
when phone in this mode and i run this script, my phone is rebooted (from fastboot mode) but nothing useful happens. same bootloop, bootloader in the locked mode as early.

Goto fastboot
Try ti make unlock
Try to make downgrafe from command line, not app
this is not work also from cmd, becouse bootloader locked and fastboot mode very very limited. just do not accept commands. for example see screen
