Hi all,

I am a new user of the Miui rom, moved over from CyanogenMod 7.1 and initial impressions are that the ROM is beautiful and a joy to use.

I am still playing around with the settings but I have noticed that when i received a email via the gmail app the device (Galaxy S i9000) does not vibrate.

I have seen this on CyanogenMod however they used Profiles and I was able to make the change on the Profile which allowed vibration on gmail notifications. Is there anyway on Miui 1.10.8 to set or enable this option?

Also I am unable to find any option to change the haptic feedback intensity, it vibrates too much when selecting options, can i tweak this?

Im sure I will find more things but so far this ROM rocks! When i flashed it last night i noticed that i still have Cyanogenmod on my splash screen on boot but I guess it doesnt really make any difference to the operation of Miui.

I think the splash screen is related to the kernel. my spalsh screen is glitch v13. I also however would like to know how to change the intensity of the haptic feedback.

The vibrate setting for Gmail is in the Gmail application. In Gmail, go to Menu, More, Settings, Account Settings for your account, scroll down, Labels to notify, tap the label. The vibrate setting is in there.

You should not see the CM7 splash screen unless it's part of the theme you're using. Did you do a full wipe when you first installed MIUI?
