I use 8.12.27 on poco f1, set wallpaper carousel on slideshow with several local pictures.. I set it to change both home and lockscreen every 15 min.. but only home is changed and lock is on default or manual wallpaper..

Hello why it says in the steps to never wipe system and persist? Is there a danger if I do? And does this only apply to miui based roms or I can wipe before installing aosp based roms? I just unlocked my poco and installed eu rom.. but I'm worried about future. Thanks
