You are on a so-called "shop-rom". Official Roms have 4 digits i.e. 8.1.4.0. I advise you flash an official rom before you go about setting up your device.

India redmi 3s 2gb/16gb doesn't have fingerprint sensor. Chinese redmi 3s both configuration with fingerprint sensor, in India only the 3gb/32gb (prime). I believe they use the model referred to as redmi 3x in China as the Base variant 3s in India (hence no fingerprint sensor).
