Just a fyi..you cant delete the Mms.apk just because you use handcent or txting won't work.. I don't believe there is an option for what you're talking about..You're referring to the app icon right? If you don't use the default txting app why not just hide its icon in a junk folder or something?

Its a known bug..Its been said that if you browse to the theme using the MIUI file manager you can apply them that way.

If you go into display settings you will see a slider under auto brightness..Just adjust it to what you want it to be in that certain lighting and it will remember.

Anyone know if the issue with using charging.png's in theme causing bootloops has been addressed?

MIUI is closed source so its about the same as getting the HTC dialer and contacts on a non sense ROM..Its likely not going to happen sorry.

Delete the old gmail.apk in system with either root explorer or adb and then try.
