Did you try to add APNs manual and see if that works ? Here in Canada I am using Fido, With my Mi8 I could only use H+ but I searched and I found the APN LTE properties of my carrier and I manual imported them and now all is good

In order to work in Mi8 you have to disable the dark mode . Is this how suppose to work ? If I have the dark mode enable the icons are black so you can't see them

On 9.11.7 Mi8 for AOD and Lockscreen Notifications you have to go to every program and activate again the notifications for the lockScreen . One thing that I cant fix is the lockScreen and AOD notification for the missed calls . When I have missed call I can see it only if I unlock the phone...

I think that this is a bug and not something that Xiaomi implement in the new ROM . Confirm that your solution is working but I'd a little bit annoying. I don't want someone to take my phone and can read me notification in the lock screen. Thank you
