So I got my phone with the EU.rom already installed. Phone is not showing as rooted on a root checker app but want to check: can you install the EU.rom without root? Worried that maybe I've missed that it has been rooted and if I unlock the bootloader I'll brick the phone.

Thank you. The fix doesn't make much sense to me, if it is a fix, as I'm not terribly au fait with rooting. I've not tried the camera on the Chinese ROM but what I have on the EU.rom is still leagues better than my old Note 8.
