I believe the only difference between the two versions is that Xiaomi has somehow disabled the Leica settings from the camera app. My theory is that the camera reads the device's IMEI or a similar identifier to determine the country of origin and then enables or disables certain settings...

Anybody know how to get rid of this icon in status bar? On the top left? - I think it indicates that an app is using GPS in the background, but I have Mi fit app which always use GPS, so I want to get rid of the icon, as it is always there.
