I've been using it for a day and can't see any noticeable changes (which is good because it was already running smoothly before). The security patch is from 01.10.21 (I think the last one was from July or August).
This is not necessarily the case. For Mi 9t (davinci), for example, both the stable and weekly versions are on MIUI12.5. I think @Poney70 mentioned that he made a switch without reformatting, so i also tried it this week and i couldn't find any problems. (dirty flash with dalvik reset)
Not only in comparison with last week, this is one of the best versions in a long time, at least on davinci.
The battery life after one day of admittedly very little use is remarkable.
Fun Fact about freezing on the Mi 9T devices:
If you turn off the authentications (PIN and fingerprint), the device very rarely freezes. For me, it now only freezes 1-3 minutes after "going into sleep", regardless of whether the AOD is active or not.
This doesn't really help in daily operation...
Unfortunatly, my last post was a bit too quick. After a little while, for me too, the freezes started again.
So, like you, i'm back on 21.3.18, where i had no issues last week, but now with freezes. :(
But Bloodspiiler82 wrote, that going back to last week's version did not solve the problem?
If a workflow works 50 times and not the 51st time, the problem is usually not in the workflow itself.
I did the update exactly as I have been doing for the last 50-60 weeks since I started using the 9T with the beta.
I update either via OTA or via orange fox and I don't use any special features except clearing the cache/Dalvik. I don't use root or magisk. This is the first time in about a year...
The same thing happens here. The device freezes very often, mostly in the lock screen, but also under the AOD screen.
This morning it even happened between two snooze phases of the alarm clock ... I only noticed it an hour later ;)
Regarding the crashing apps, Google has released two updates this morning, for "Android Web View" and for "Chrome". These are supposed to fix the problem. (They seem to work for me, but I didn't notice the problem yesterday anyway).
Hi, I also use the Mi 9T and I have never had this problem. Neither in this version nor in any of the previous versions.
That doesn't really help you now, I guess ;)
