    However you got that OTA from China, don't ever apply it. We change the ROM so much that attempting to apply a Chinese OTA over our ROM will break it, and possibly your phone.

    Maybe. We would have to change our build scripts, since they are inserted that level, though without it. Your phone won't work in regards to GPS / location because Baidu maps only have support in China. btw, roms up.

    OPPO rom uses the same MIUI base as all of our roms. If there is Chinese its either in an OPPO app or a bug.

    Well Nexus 4 is a port probably based on the 4.2.2 GNEX official. So if its fixed in official, it'll probably be fixed in Nexus 4.

    Run this. adb shell getprop ro.product.device Instead of figuring a way around it, lets fix the problem at the root so others can benefit.
