    No those are both caches, dalvik regenerates itself at first boot and normal cache when you run apps AFAIK. Self made unsigned theme parts might get switched back to default.

    Xiaomi has disabled easy ways to EDL mode in new devices, might be doing it to old ones also with software upgrades. Try MiFlash some old rom and test if dl mode still works.
