OK - I've turned Public transport payments off. It will be interesting to see how much I can go up to without needing biometric confirmation. Thanks.

How do you get to these security settings? I cannot seem to find them anywhere.

Google Wallet works just fine with mine. The only difference now is that it now requires a biometric (fingerprint) confirmation when paying, which is a real pain! I always clear memory, cache, recents and Dalvik before installing the update. Normally done through TWRP.

It is always useful to detail your phone and any other relevant details so that others with similar phones can comment constructively.

I wouldn't have classified it as a 'semi-functional' device, as there are many settings to make it into an 'economising' device, which is how I used it. However, there are some useful functions in 'Battery saver' which are not otherwise available or obvious elsewhere. As you say elsewhere, it...

Reported as a bug. I wonder what the cause is of 'Detect gaze' not working? It's not to do with 'Battery saver'.

    Known Issues (Weekly ROM)

On nuwa, the Moon Superwallpaper does not work if 'Battery saver' is switched on.

You are absolutely right!! I have tried since the beginning of HyperOS to find out why it wasn't working properly. Nobody else was able to provide the reason. Very many thanks for your response. :D Now, I wonder if this is a bug or an intentional feature. Why should 'Battery saver' stop the...

I am now resigned to the fact that the Moon Superwallpaper will not work on my phone; neither will the Detect gaze. I seem to be the only Nuwa where this is happening. :(

I downloaded the ROM using a downloader (JDownloader 2 - free), and just left it. It took about 3.1/2 hours. I then copied it to my phone and did the normal install using TWRP (after backing up).

When I lost access to 5G, I found that the only way I could get it back again was to go to: Settings / More connectivity optons / Reset Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and Bluetooth. That unfortunately also lost all of the stored Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings, but it did get 5G back again. I don't know...

I wonder if people really appreciate how lucky we are to have Leica lenses. I could not believe it when I discovered the collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica. Ernst Leitz produced probably some of the best 35mm cameras ever - together with their high quality lenses. He used an innovative...

You are asked to research questions as many are repeated. For instance, a simple search for your question brings up many results. The answer is that normally you would not need to format, but it is always worth while doing a backup just in case.

Do a 'long press' on the Weather app, and go into (i) App info. Check that the settings are as you want them. You could also make adjustments to minimise power consumption (eg. Battery saver). Also, have a look at my post here, and select what you think may help with the Weather consumption...

Something which I have just noticed is that the calculation of data remaining is not correct. I have correctly entered the Monthly data limit, and the Usage reset day.

You should normally be able to go back to previous weeks' ROMs without a data wipe, as there is no version change. (I have successfully done that). But it is always worth while taking a back-up just in case!

If you go into Settings / Battery, and tap on the graph line where the battery goes down fastest, you can see underneath what also might be consuming power. You could then make adjustments to minimise power consumption. Also, have a look at my post here, and select what you think may help with...

Strange things happen! I'm glad that it was successful. I use the original phone cable, which I am careful not to damage. I use this for everything - charging, file transfer, ROM updates, etc. I have not yet had any problems with it.

Could it be that the connection (cable) broke - 'no link'? Have you tried pressing the Power + Vol+ keys (for Recovery); or Power + Vol- for Fastboot. You should be able to check the connection by entering the command from Fastboot: fastboot devices from the Command prompt. This should give you...
