got it :) just tried and it worked. the option to connect to the AP comes up really quickly but once i connect to it, it takes about 2 minutes to actually connect to the internet. i guess i just wasn't giving it enough time. thanks

Is there anything special I have to do in order to make this and the USB tether work? I tried using both before and they didn't work. I ended up downloading wireless tether from the market and that worked after a few tries Sent from my HTC Incredible using the miui-dev.com Forums App

u have to go to the sms settings > advanced and change it the option at the bottom - sort sms by date - from server to locally

thats a good point. i never questioned this, i just assumed that everything was getting saved to my gmail, but in retrospect i dont think my new contacts have been being saving there

check out the "porting to evo" thread in this same forum.. someone gave a very well detailed explanation on how to do it. only downside is that its for the evo, so some of the specifics are off

12.24 fixed it for me.. in the mms settings, u can switch how the timestamps are dated either on the server or locally, and i just switched it to locally and it all works now
