Any other suggestion on how to not get this problem in the future?! On another note, due to this I finally put the freezing market issue behind me... for better or worse though :D Especially as it was the freeze that "broke" my phone.

@Pele No O/C and Kernel worked perfect. @iBotPeaches Tried to reflash and wipe cache/dalvik, but no success :/ Would be really nice to get to the bottom of this so that it doesn't happen again!

In the end I made a COMPLETE wipe, formatted partition, reinstalled ROM/Kernel and recovered a backup from MyBackup that i had on SD. Hope you got a backup mate.

Have been using 2.2.24 for a while and when I got an Market freeze, I did a hard reboot and when I boot up again EVERYTHING goes FC(notification bar goes epileptic with FC notifications). Not the first time I had to do a hard reboot because of Market. Can't enter anything except "hold menu...

Found a FIX! Two different solutions for the same problem. 1 is for problem with contact and 2 is for contact, calendar etc. For me it was Calendar that was the culprit, I followed what "lowlypeon" wrote(solution 2) and no problem since then :D:D 1...

Still got FC with 2.1.6. I even did an factory reset and wiped. STILL GOT IT! The strangest thing ever was that it took about 10H for it to appear.. Miui.....................

Is it just me that won't get the Updater to update? I couldn't use Updater to update to either 1.12.30 or 2.1.6. Update was out both times but it still said "You already have the latest version installed". Had to download manually.
