Thanks for the replies guys. I decided not to post in the bugs forum since I can't provide any logcat or other troubleshooting info until I 'catch' the device doing it. I'm fairly sure it's not the battery connection, it's nice and snug and taking the cover off and pushing the battery around...

Did the spec's released indicate whether or not there is a micro SD slot?

The MI Button configuration has been missing from the settings for a few versions now. Previously it the action for short press when not in the camera app could be configured; I used to use it to toggle silent mode - very handy. Could this be reported to Xiaomi please?

Also working OK in 2.6.1 so I think it should be considered fixed.

It seems to get somehow uninstalled when you flash the update. I just restore it using titanium backup.
