AOSP 5.0 + xposed [and a bunch of modules - see screenshot attached] is my daily driver since december 2014. no relevant bugs noticed. just a BT stack not perfect.. but I can live with it.

backup your call logs, sms, etc. with this app. then restore works 100% on lollipop AOSP. I use it as a dalily driver for call logs, sms, and dictionary. for apps backup I use titanium.

not at all. bluetooth stack on his three 5.0.2 releases was really fragile. I use the 4.12.5 as a daily driver since its release.

thanks for reporting this. now it is fixed. I tried AOSP 5.1 for a while, just a few hours, and didn't notice relevant bugs. I flashed it via TWRP [the same linked in OP].

first post edited with links to custom recoveries [and a short tutorial on how to install them]. please note that you can have only one recovery installed at once.

after installing the ROM or even after flashing xposed framework, the phone takes a while after displaying the bootanimation. let it settle down for 5 minutes. if after that time it still stucks, then reboot to recovery and try to wipe all.

xposed framework for lollipop 5.1 works flawlessly on my Mi2s. troubles affects modules installed, which lead to bootloops. 'til now, I have successfully tried xsuite, but with xposed additions module I stuck on a bootloop.

for anyone who's interested, there's a "super-alpha" unofficial version of xposed framework that sould work on android 5.1. I am going to try it in the next few hours and report back issues. if you want, you can point to the XDA thread here...
