On latest miui 11 beta, play store opens with a massive delay on mi5. Did not notice it in previous rom. Have same chinese version of rom installed on Redmi 6a and playstore always opens right away without the delay.

On mi5, play store has 6 seconds white screen every time its opened fresh. Wasn't like this in previous rom.

When you say regional limit, are you referring to the limiter at 80% which you can disable at the prompt, or the absolute max volume at 100% after disabling the limiter. Because my 2 China rom phones also have this limiter at 80%(1 on miui 9, 1 on miui 11) and I find the volume level on them...

I think its due to android version. I have mi5 also on Android 8 and no built in dark mode. However you can enable a different dark mode in developer settings, but it does not apply everywhere in the UI.

I agree, especially on small screen devices like mi8 se, mi9 se, they are now too small. Hopefully they go back to normal size on the next rom.

For unknown reason, some people complained the default icons were too big even though they are the proper size. So perhaps devs decided to put smaller icons on dark mode and level bright mode normal size.

How are they still too big if they are already smaller than the official miui 11 rom. You got to remember there are different screen size devices. 2 people with mi9 se already complained about v2 icon size being too small. Default size from v1 is best middle ground for all devices.

On my mi5 with xiaomi.eu miui 11 rom, the music player pauses/closes itself frequently. By comparison, my Redmi 6a which has 1gb less ram on chinese version of the same rom never closes the music even after opening many games, the music always stays playing.

When notification style is set to android, the icons in notifications have a dark grey filter over them. Left is 6A with miui 11 china rom, right is mi5 with miui 11 xiaomi.eu rom. It shows normally if using dark mode in developer settings but not with default light mode.
