I tried that, Mark. I even replaced from the other languages to be safe, reinstalled the whole firmware, wiped the dalvik-cache and data files, and still shows me the chinese characters.

Not sure if it's the right place to ask this, but I'm stuck at something that is really annoying me. I was able to translate the whole system to my language (Brazilian Portuguese), but I still get one text showing in chinese: the default folder "tools" created in the desktop. Since I'm out...
